The hostel was originally built in 1891 as a Shooting Lodge, developed into a youth hostel by the SYHA in the 1930s and taken into private ownership by the Mackay family in 2014. Since then, the current owners have carried out substantial updates and improvements to create the most homely and comfortable of accommodation.

The hostel has five private rooms, split into two different categories, ‘standard’ and ‘premium’, which range from a twin room to a family room which can sleep six. Hostel guests benefit from the use of our dining room, which also houses a sink area, a fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, microwave and tea/coffee making facilities.  Up to date prices for hostel rooms can be found on our online booking system.
